ABOUT ME

I have worked in healthcare as a registered nurse for over 23 years. I have worked in the hospital setting for 12 years, caring for patients on the medical and surgical floors, orthopedics, neurology, and telemetry. I have worked in the outpatient surgical setting (preoperative, surgery, post-operative care areas) for 14 years, focusing on orthopedics and pain management. Over the last 4 years, my daily focus has been quality assurance and improvement, risk management, safety, infection, regulations, and compliance. I have experience with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and The Joint Commission (TJC) Accreditations and Certifications.
